What, me? Well, I've got more than two decades of reporting and editing experience in the US and Europe. I loved writing when it was my job, still do love it on occasion, and I've won awards for it. But I recognized early in my career that editing is my calling. A commitment to making bad stories good and good stories great, and a roving, restless curiosity, have carried me through the training ground of local weeklies and dailies, 6½ years as editor of one of America's premier alternative newspapers, and 13 years living and working abroad.
In that time I've done a gallimaufry of editing and writing work covering a goulash of places and subjects, from travel and film to post-communist politics and the world of philanthropy. I've edited urban travel guides and golf travel websites, built an arts section for a Prague magazine, founded an e-zine devoted to music documentaries, and developed multimedia content for a Web journal covering the former Soviet bloc. If you've got a content job, I think I can do it.
